Community Guidelines

When you choose RapidoRide, you’re embracing a community built on putting people first. It’s a place where everyone is honoured with equal dignity and embraced with shared compassion. After all, in this journey, we’re all united as one.

We appreciate your contribution to ensuring a safe and friendly atmosphere.

Below are some guidelines to help you understand positive community engagement on the RapidoRide Platform. These guidelines outline behaviours or situations that may lead to loss of access to the platform. While unforeseen events can also result in losing access, these guidelines, regularly updated, set expectations for all RapidoRide users. Failure to comply with any guideline may violate your agreement with RapidoRide and result in losing platform access. You can report potential guideline violations to RapidoRide, and we’ll address them according to our policies.

Sexual Assault and Misconduct

We highly value personal space and privacy. While friendly conversation is welcome, it’s essential to remain respectful. Please refrain from making comments about appearance or asking personal questions like relationship status or sexual orientation. Sexual assault and misconduct, which involve any sexual contact or behaviour without explicit consent, are strictly prohibited. Always respect personal boundaries and privacy.

Examples of inappropriate conduct include:

  • Asking personal questions about relationship status or sexual orientation
  • Commenting on appearance, whether positively or negatively
  • Making explicit comments or gestures, including slurs or suggestive messages
  • Flirting, whether verbally or nonverbally, and invading personal space
  • Displaying indecent material, such as sexually suggestive images or objects

 

RapidoRide enforces a strict no-sex policy, irrespective of the individual’s consent or familiarity with the person.

Discrimination

We prioritize safety and inclusivity. Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, age, disability, gender identity, marital status, pregnancy, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, language, or any other protected characteristic is not tolerated. Examples include refusing services or rating others based on these traits. Discriminatory language, avoiding certain locations, or asking sensitive questions are also prohibited. Post-trip Contact

Contact should stop after the trip or delivery ends, except for returning lost items. Unwanted contact, like texting, calling, social media messages, visiting, or attempting to visit someone in person after a trip or delivery, may be considered harassment without mutual consent.

Prohibited Behaviour

Threatening or rude behavioru is strictly prohibited. This includes aggressive, confrontational, or harassing actions. Avoid using language, gestures, or actions that may be disrespectful, discriminatory, threatening, or inappropriate.

Physical Contact

Refrain from touching strangers or newly met individuals while using the RapidoRide Platform. Exceptions apply for those requiring assistance, like riders using RapidoRide Assist who need help getting in and out of the vehicle. Any form of intentional harm or intent to harm is strictly prohibited.

Be Respectful to Everyone

Your actions on the RapidoRide Platform affect how safe and comfortable others feel. It’s important to be polite. For example, try to be on time for your rides  avoid yelling, swearing, or slamming doors, and clean up any mess you make. Treat others with kindness and behave well, just like you would in public.

RapidoRide is against racism and wants to make sure everyone feels welcome, no matter their background. Remember to respect everyone’s differences. Discrimination based on race or any other protected characteristic is not allowed on the RapidoRide Platform and could lead to losing access to the apps.

Property Damage

Damaging property is against the rules. This includes harming the vehicle or any other transportation mode requested through the RapidoRide Platform, breaking electronic devices like phones or tablets, spilling food or drink on purpose, smoking in a vehicle, damaging a merchant’s property, or vomiting due to excessive alcohol consumption or other reasons. If you damage property, you have to pay for cleaning and repairs, except for normal wear and tear. Intentional damage could result in your account being deactivated.

Ensuring Safety

1. Account Usage: Only you should use your RapidoRide account. Don’t share your login details or personal information with others.

2. Age Limit: You must be 18 or older to have a RapidoRide account, except in cities where teen accounts are available for ages 13-17.

3. Extra Riders: Only the driver, the person who requested the ride, and their guests should be in the vehicle.

4. Vehicle Details: RapidoRide provides vehicle details like the driver’s name, license plate number, and vehicle make and model for easy identification.

5. Seat Belts: Everyone in the vehicle should wear seat belts, and drivers can refuse rides if there aren’t enough seat belts for all passengers.

6. Helmet Use: If riding a bike, e-bike, motorcycle, or scooter, always wear a helmet according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

7. Dash cams: Some drivers may use dash-cams for safety, but sharing recordings on social media or public places is not allowed.

8. Vehicle Maintenance: Drivers must keep their vehicles well-maintained and in good condition.

9. Safe Driving: Drivers should create a safe environment for riders, and reports of dangerous driving can lead to losing access to RapidoRide.

10. Emergencies: In case of emergency, contact local authorities first, then use the in-app Safety Toolkit for assistance.

11. Suicide Prevention: We take threats of self-harm seriously and may contact authorities for a wellness check.

12. Public Emergencies: RapidoRide may take extra measures during natural disasters or public crises to maintain safety.

 

Lawful Conduct

 

1. Stay Street Smart: Cruise within the boundaries of the law, including traffic rules and airport regulations.

2. Paperwork Check: Keep your licenses, insurance, and vehicle registrations up to date to roll smoothly on legal lanes.

3. Vehicle TLC: Show your wheels some love by maintaining them according to industry standards and fixing any recalled parts pronto.

4. Drive Wisely: Navigate the roads responsibly, keeping passenger safety in the driver’s seat.

5. Emergency SOS: Dial local authorities in emergencies, and tap into the in-app Safety Toolkit for extra support.

6. Self-Care SOS: We take self-harm seriously and may call in reinforcements if there’s a risk.

7. Crisis Management: When the world’s in a spin, we’ll pull out all the stops to keep everyone safe and sound.

8. Baby on Board: Buckle up the little ones in accordance with the law and provide the necessary car seat if needed.

9. Furry Friends Welcome: It’s paw-sitively illegal to deny a ride to those with service animals or assistive devices.

10. Stay Sober, Stay Safe: Keep the party in check and the drinks sealed; drivers reserve the right to refuse rowdy riders.

11. No Guns Allowed: Leave your firearms at home; they’re not welcome on our ride.

12. Fraud-Free Zone: Keep it real and honest; fraudulent activity will slam the brakes on your journey with us.

13. Platform Only Pickups: Stick to the script and keep transactions on the platform; off-platform pickups are a no-go.

14. Brand Loyalty: Respect the brand; unauthorized use of trademarks or gear may lead to an exit from the ride.

Your Voice Matters

1. Feedback Accessibility: Share your experiences, good or bad, effortlessly. We’re continuously refining our standards, and your feedback is vital for keeping pace with evolving technology. Rate each trip and report incidents like accidents through support.Remember, in emergencies, contact local authorities first.

2. Content Contribution: RapidRide may permit users to create and share content on our platforms, subject to our User Generated Content Terms.

3. Rating System: Drivers, riders can rate and provide feedback on experiences. We maintain a minimum average rating in each city, adjusting for cultural differences. Falling below this threshold may impact platform access.

4. Maintaining High Ratings: Courtesy is key. Most interactions are positive, but we understand challenges arise. While contacting Support won’t alter individual ratings, drivers can improve through quality improvement courses if ratings drop.

Enforcement of Guidelines by RapidoRide

If you violate any terms outlined in your contractual agreements with RapidoRide or any applicable terms, policies, including the Community Guidelines, or additional standards communicated by RapidoRide, you risk losing access to some or all features of the RapidoRide Marketplace Platform. This may include the potential loss of access to multiple RapidoRide accounts, such as rider, driver, or business accounts. Should you believe that an error has resulted in the loss of your account access, you have the option to reach out to the RapidoRide Support team for assistance.
