At RapidoRide, we believe in fairness for both riders and drivers. Our cancellation policy ensures that cancellations are handled responsibly, with fees applied to compensate drivers for their time and effort. However, we understand that there may be valid reasons for cancellation, so exceptions are made in certain situations. Our goal is to maintain a reliable and efficient service for all users while respecting the needs and circumstances of both riders and drivers.

Cancellation Fee

You can cancel anytime via the app, but once you’re matched with a driver, there might be a cancellation fee if you bail. This fee covers the driver’s time and effort in getting to you.

Cancellation Timeframe : You may be charged a cancellation fee if you cancel more than 60 seconds after the driver accepts your ride or after your driver arrives.
Multiple Cancellations : Cancellation fees may also apply if you cancel three or more rides within a 15-minute timeframe.
Compensation for Drivers : These fees go towards compensating your driver for their time and gas, and may vary based on how busy it is.
Exceptions : You can cancel a ride within the first 5 minutes after pickup if someone else took your ride or if there’s another critical issue.

Recent Updates to Health Safety Protocol

Masks are now optional for drivers and riders during rides, following the latest CDC guidance. While wearing a mask is not obligatory, you’re encouraged to do so if it adds to your comfort. Although health safety reports are currently unavailable, rest assured, you can still report any concerns about your ride experience if you feel unsafe.

Remember, it’s best to request a ride when you’re good to go and near the pickup spot for a smooth experience.

Flexibility

Both riders and drivers can cancel for any reason, though not following RapidoRide’s rules could mean paying up.

Additionally, cancellation fees may vary based on the distance your driver has already traveled. If you cancel a trip after it has started, the fare will depend on the timing and location of the cancellation, with options including a minimum fare, the upfront fare, or a fare calculated based on actual time and distance traveled.

Missed Pickup Charge : You may be subject to a missed pickup fee if your driver has reached the designated location, waited for the specified duration or more, and made efforts to establish contact with you or received communication from your end. These charges aim to reimburse the driver for their time and fuel costs and could fluctuate based on demand dynamics.

On the flip side, if you did request the ride but your driver didn’t make it to you, it’s plausible that another rider mistakenly snagged the ride instead.
